Lighthouse Academy Policy

COURSE PREREQUISITE POLICY:

For the courses with prerequisite, the students must need to submit a copy of transcript showing that credit is earned in that course. Here the students give their consent to provide the document. The students should send the document to: info@lighthouseacademy.ca once the registration is complete.

REFUND POLICY:

Lighthouse Academy Canada will not issue refunds as LHA administration has already incurred expenses once the registration is done. Even if the student does not begin the course, our office will complete all the necessary steps (e.g. creating accountS, course contents in LMS, coordination with teacher etc.).

STUDENT ENROLMENT POLICY:

In asynchronous mode of study, there is no set schedule for the students to follow. Students can start their course once they get the login informations upon the registration. In synchronous mode of study, students need to attend the live classes at the scheduled time. If there are not sufficient enrolments in any course for synchronous learning method, the students can transfer to asynchronous learning and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student’s account. The school management has full discretion to decide about this. In both cases, the course must be completed within 12 months of enrolment. A student will be removed from a course if the course is not completed within 12 months.

COURSE TRANSFER POLICY:

A LHA student can transfer from one course to another anytime within 12 months completion period. The 12 months period will not be refreshed for course transfer. The student must complete the course within 12 months of initial registration of the original course.

CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY:

Lighthouse Academy Canada may communicate with the parents or legal guardians of the student and also with the home school for different academic purposes. Also students may receive periodic emails from LHA for academic purposes and other promotional materials. Lighthouse Academy Canada will not disclose any confidential informations of students to third parties.
